Flat roofs are used in a variety of different environments from extensions and annexes to garages, dormers, walkways and balconies – plus bespoke design can be incorporated into the construction process. As flat roof installers we offer a full range of solutions, from initial timber construction through to insulation, ventilation and the final surface layer (which can be finished in various materials e.g. rubber sheeting, torch on felt, metal, aluminium, zinc, lead and liquid rubber).
Our chimney portfolio focuses on the general domestic market, plus listed buildings and Heritage Projects. Works and repairs include re-pointing, re-rendering, re-building and full replacement, as well as brickwork repairs, pebble dashing, flaunching, lead flashings, front aprons, rear gutters, re-fixing chimney pots, installing liners for fires and capping off disused fireplaces ensuring they are vented to avoid condensation.
Cappings can be made up of different materials such as aluminium and lead, and are installed as long term waterproofing solutions to the top of perimeter walls and flat roof edges. They are better at preventing water ingress than traditional brickwork and enable channelling of the water down and away onto specifically selected roof areas. For more information on cappings and other Phipps Roofing services, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Cladding takes many forms and material finishes, including zinc, aluminium, copper, lead, uPVC, wood and cement fibreboards. Our focus in this market is roof cladding in domestic environments. We mainly clad dormers and mansards in tile, copper and lead finishes, with lead mansards being the most common.
